Covers complete HF/VHF range from 80M through 2M, including 30M, 17M and 12M. Even has separate taps for 80M CW and 75M SSB. Each band is hand-tuned at the Outbacker factory in Australia for peak performance on all bands. Rated at 20 Watts all Modes.

Utilizes the famous Outbacker Band Tap System. Change bands without having to re-measure or re-set the stinger. Very user friendly, unlike some other designs.

Even though it's a smaller antenna, the Joey maintains the mechanical ruggedness and reliability that Outbacker is known for. This one won't come apart with field or backpack use. When not in use, the Joey easily "jumps back" into it's included cloth carry pouch for easy transport.

* The unique design, with it's optimum shaft length to stinger length ratio and careful "hand tuned" band tap placement, puts out an extremely effective signal. It compares favorably to other, larger, Outbacker models. Shorter shafts used in other designs can be very inefficient, wasting more of your QRP milliwatts.

* When we say "Antenna System", we really mean it! The Joey System comes complete with a 12' durable copper braid counterpoise, and a custom "antitwist" 90 degree SO-239 to PL-259 adapter. Therefore, the antenna can be installed directly on the rear SO-239 of any of the popular QRP transceivers. The Joey Antenna is terminated in a male PL-259 plug for added strength and durability. The kit provides complete flexibility.

The antenna has a 30 inch shaft and a 20 inch stinger when fully extended. Weight is just over 1lb.
